Your hosts, Michael & Margaret Garvan purchased this 25 acre property
in April 2000 after living on the NSW Mid North Coast for 7 years. Prior to that they
lived in Glenbrook NSW (on the other side of the Blue Mountains.
Michael has 26 years experience in the finance industry and 7 years in retail. Marg has
the same really as well she is a highly qualified counsellor and runs her own practice at
Richmond NSW, Ghandarva Wholistic Counselling Centre. Marg is also a teaching director at
The Crucible Centre at Hartley Vale NSW.
The name Ghandarva comes from India. It means a place protected by The Angels, a place of
the Gods or a place of Heaven. You will note that it has all the letters of our surname,
Garvan, and as we love our place so much the name Ghandarva seemed a natural choice to us.
So while you are here take a walk through the property, past our dam in the gorge and
through to the National Park and will see why we want the angels to protect it.
